medical education:An introduction

There are various colleges in india in which some are private but most are government colleges.
To take admission in these colleges you have to face some competition.I am giving an overview of those competitions.
The list of some of the competitive examinations is being given here-
1) AIIMS-It is most reputed college in india and number one ranking situated in delhi.
2) BHU-It is second most reputed college and situated in varanasi.
3) CMC-It is situated in vellore and one of the top ten college.
4) CBSE-Through this competition you can take admission in various colleges in india.15% of seats are filled in each college run by state government through CBSE. Thus number of applicants in this competitive exam is highest.
5) JIPMER-Located in Pondicherry this college is second ranked in India.Some seats of this college is filled by CBSE also.
6)Apart from these exams one can also apply in exams conducted by various state governments for admission in colleges run by state govt.But for appearing in these exams generally you need a domicile of that state.

Private medical colleges in India-
1)MAHE,Manipal-This is most reputed private college in India.MAHE run two medical colleges one situated in Manipal and other in Manglore.Admission is taken through exam conducted by MAHE itself.
2)COMEDK-COMEDK conduct exam through which seats of private medical colleges of Karnatka are filled.Exam are conducted at all India level.
3)Bharti Vidyapith,Pune-Again a very reputed college of India which conduct exam at all India level.
4)D.Y.PATIL-It has two college one in Mumbai and other in Pune.
5)UPMT-This conduct exam for uttaranchal medical college at all India level.
